Congratulations

Date: 18th May 2017 Author: Scout Websites

All at 46th Angus Scouts would like to extend their congratulations to Audrey Milne and Kathleen Band who were both awarded the Award of Merit at the District AGM on Tuesday. The Award for Merit is given for outstanding service of not less than 12 years and 10 years exceptionally. It implies keen, conscientious, imaginative and dedicated service over a sustained period.

Audrey has been involved in scouting for over 20 years, she started her scouting career as an Assistant Cub Leader before making the move to the scout section when it was on the brink of closure. The Scout section went from strength to strength over the years with Audrey at the helm. Audrey is now the Group Scout Leader at 46th Angus Scout Group which sees her keeping all the leaders in check and sitting on our Executive Committee.

Kathleen has been involved in scouting for over 16 years. Kathleen started her scouting career as an Assistant Cub Leader at Newtyle when there was a real struggle for leaders. Since then Kathleen has also taken on the position of Assistant District Commissioner for Cubs in South Angus which sees her supporting cub packs across the district. Kathleen is now also a regular face at scouts in Muirhead assisting the leadership team on a weekly basis.

Without dedicated leaders like Audrey and Kathleen scouting would not be possible and we look forward to many more years’ service from them both.
