About us

46th Angus Scout Group is based in Muirhead near Dundee. We have a very healthy mixed Group of nearly 100 members coming from Muirhead and Birkhill, Auchterhouse, Newtyle, Liff and Longforgan.

We cater for young people between the ages of 6 and 25 through a balanced programme of activities. We are part of the Scottish East Region and take an active part in activities with other groups within the region.

Each of our sections – Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers – take part in a full programme from crafts to climbing and everything in between!

We are a registered scottish charity (SC039648), all of our leaders and committee are unpaid volunteers committed to providing Scouting for young people in our area.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
